Biography

Beatriz Martín-García is currently a Gipuzkoa researcher fellow at CIC nanoGUNE BRTA, leading a research line developing tailor-made 2D materials and studying them by Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy techniques to drive the selection of desired properties for their integration in optoelectronic and spintronic devices. She received her Ph.D. in Chemical Physics (Cum Laude) from University of Salamanca (Spain) in 2013. Then, she joined Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Italy) under the Graphene Flagship project working during almost 6 years on the modulation of optoelectronic properties of different materials (nanocrystals, 2D materials and hybrid metal-halide perovskites) by chemical-design and surface-functionalization strategies for their integration in solar cells, photodetectors and memories. She is author of more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, amongst which Nature Materials, Advanced Materials, Small or Nano Letters.
