How to arrive to Wrocław?

By plane: Copernicus Airport Wrocław (IATA code: WRO) is on the city’s western outskirts, not far from our venue.

By train: You can arrive at the Wrocław Main Railway Station by train from many European directions.

By car: You can reach the city for example by following the A4 highway in the southern part of Poland; it links the Polish cities: Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków, Rzeszów with the city of Dresden in Germany and Lviv in Ukraine.

How to reach the city centre?

From the Copernicus Airport Wrocław transport is very convenient. There are two ways to reach the city centre – the bus and the taxi.

The municipal bus no. 106 departures from the airport every 15 minutes and it can also take you to the Main Railway Station (Dworzec Główny). You can buy the bus tickets from the ticket machine (cash/card) or pay the fare (~0.90 euro) directly in the bus (PayPass card only) using self-service terminal.

You can find the most convenient public transport connection from the Main Railway Station to your destination using the website: https://jakdojade.pl/wroclaw/trasa/. You can indicate the searched destination by the address or name of the building/institution/hotel.

The Taxi from the airport directly to the City Centre costs approximately 12 euro. In many cabs you can pay by card – those cabs are marked with credit card companies logos.

From the Main Railway Station called Dworzec Główny and the Bus Station called Dworzec Autobusowy PKS.

Ticket machines are placed on the bus stops/tramway stations (cash/card). Transport fare can be also paid directly in the bus/tramway (PayPass card only) using self-service terminal. If you are buying the ticket outside the bus/tramway, we recommend you to buy 1-hour ticket as it is valid for all the lines.

You can find the most convenient public transport connections to your destination using the website https://jakdojade.pl/wroclaw/trasa/. You can indicate the searched destination by the address or name of the building/institution/hotel.

As the both stations are close to the Centre the taxi fares are relatively low (3-5 euro). Taxi cabs can be found just outside the bus and the train station.

How to reach our Campus

By train from the Wrocław Main Railway Station WROCŁAW GŁÓWNY you can travel directly to our venue – just take a train to the WROCŁAW PRACZE station. Our campus is directly opposite the Wrocław Pracze station building (on the other side of railway tracks).

By car, the easiest method is probably to use internet maps (like Google Maps), find our venue address: Stablowicka 147, Wroclaw, Poland or name: Lukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development / Polish: Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz – PORT Polski Ośrodek Rozwoju Technologii, and use the navigation.

Driving from outside of the city, it’s good to leave the A4 highway using the exit called “Wroclaw Poludnie”, take A8 in the direction of Warsaw (Warszawa), continue north, take the “Wroclaw Stadion” exit, drive the route 94 (Kosmonautow str.), then turn right into Starogajowa str. and than again right into Stablowicka str. When you pass the railway tracks, our campus and main building (symposium venue) will be on you right. Enter the gate and find a parking place.

Driving from the city center, drive the Legnicka str. westwards, continue straight ahead taking route 94 (Lotnicza str. and Kosmonautow str.) and then follow the above instructions (turning right into streets: Starogajowa and then Stablowicka).

By taxi, you can order a taxi with English speaking driver from these companies:

RYBA TAXI (you must ask the call centre for English speaking driver)

TAXI Blues

Tell or show the driver our address in Wroclaw: Stablowicka 147.

By tramway and bus you can also reach us from the city center by a combination of a tramway and a bus. You can find the public transport connections to your destination using the website https://jakdojade.pl/wroclaw/trasa/.

For example, if you travel from the Wrocław Main Railway Station DWORZEC GŁÓWNY, you can start with a tramway line: 15 in the POŚWIĘTNE direction, or 31 in the STADION WROCŁAW (KRÓLEWIECKA) direction, or 32 in the KOZANÓW (DOKRESKA) direction. Then transfer to a bus line 101 in the LEŚNICA direction or 103 in the PRACZE ODRZAŃSKIE direction. Bus lines: 101 and 103 have a stop PRACZE ODRZAŃSKIE Stacja kolejowa – directly in front of our main building.

Ticket machines are placed on the bus stops/tramway stations (cash/card). Transport fare can be also paid directly in the bus / tramway (PayPass card only) using self-service terminal.

From the airport, the only way to directly reach the Symposium Venue from the airport is by taxi. In many taxi companies you can pay by card – those cabs are marked with credit card companies logos. Otherwise, you can travel first to the city center using the bus to reach the Main Railway Station (see above) and from there you can take a taxi, a train or the tramway + bus combination.
