Professor in Physics, Institute of Light and Matter, University of Lyon
His research focuses on the interaction between organic and inorganic semiconductors and metals, and in particular on plasmon/exciton hybridisation and its influence on optical properties (coherence, energy transfer, etc.). He is involved in the first demonstrations of strong coupling and coherence of polaritons in plasmonic systems. In addition to organic materials, he is also working on a more applicative subject linked to inorganic semiconductor devices supporting Tamm plasmons. The lasing effect in these low-loss metal/semiconductor systems has been demonstrated and applied to create new light sources such as plasmon generators based on the emission of GaAs quantum wells.
