Maurizio Ferrari

Past Research Director and Head of the CNR-IFN-FBK Photonics Unit. Senior Associate at Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnologies (IFN-CNR), Trento, Italy

He is co-author of more than 600 publications and was involved in numerous national and international projects concerning glass photonics. He is SPIE and OPTICA Fellow. His main scientific area of research is devoted to Glass Photonics and covers: the properties, structure and processing of glasses, crystals and films for optical applications and photonics; energy transfer, optical and spectroscopic properties; integrated optics; nanocomposite materials and confined structures including photonic crystals, planar waveguides, microcavities, and microresonators.
